“The Perfect Crime” Is Still Alive

There are many new performances being born at the stage of Broadway or off Broadway in New York; some of them last for a couple of months and go away forgotten. Others remain at the stage for many years, though the critics and journalists may be quite perplexed about the secret of their long-lasting success. The story of “The Perfect Crime” is just the same – the plain detective story that is bitterly conventional and cannot attract a viewer for the second time as the majority of detectives do is still running in the New York theaters.
The play was first shown in the Courtyard Playhouse in the Greenwich Village in 1987, and the leading role has been played by Catherine Russell since that moment.
